Call for Committee Members  

 

Can you volunteer your time to help your fellow members?

Attention Members!


President de Bruin is actively seeking additional volunteers to serve on variety of open NYSAPLS committee positions for the remainder of this year.


We'd love to hear from you!


Below you will find the listing of committees with open positions, their duties and the number open positions available. Most committees meet monthly or bi-monthly with a majority of meetings held via conference call.

STRATEGIC PLANNING COMMITTEE - 3 open positions

Committee duties:

  • To monitor the current status or progress of the current board approved strategic plan.
  • To assist the Board of Directors in formulating future strategic direction.


MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE - 2 open positions

Committee duties:

  • To recommend the steps and actions that should be taken by the regionals and the Association to obtain and retain the membership of all eligible persons.
  • To promote and implement all approved steps and actions.
  • To review and evaluate the success of the regionals in obtaining and  retaining members with reference to the number of eligible surveyors in the area served by the regional.
  • To conduct membership campaigns and to make such awards to regionals as may be authorized.


LSPAC COMMITTEE - 1 open position

Committee duties: 

  • To provide the opportunity for individuals interested in the health, safety and livelihoods of professional Land Surveyors to contribute to the support of worthy candidates for State or Local office who believe, and have demonstrated their beliefs in, the principles to which the organization is dedicated.
  • To solicit, directly or indirectly, and accept, voluntary personal and corporate contributions, and to make expenditures in connection with the attempt to support the selection, nomination, or election of any individual to any State or Local office.
