ABOUT: NCEES has supported the special prize for Best Land Surveying Practices for the past couple of years. The award recognizes the design that employs the best land surveying practices, taking into consideration the high standards used by surveyors to protect the public’s health, safety, and welfare.

Students work as a team with an educator and engineer mentor to plan cities using SimCity™ software, research and write solutions to an engineering problem, build tabletop scale models with recycled materials, and present before judges at regional competitions in January.
