Alfred State Universtiy students to compete in 2019 NSPS Student Competition

Seventeen (17) schools from around the country will be competing in the 2019 NSPS Student Competition to be held in Arlington, Virginia in April, 2019. The topic for the 2019 competition is “Utilizing remotely sensed data in a modern surveying practice” and consists of a Project, Technical Report/Project Binder, Poster and Oral Presentation. With the four elements related as a cohesive applied, professional, practice based, scientific/research project.

The 2019 NSPS Student Competition will be held in conjunction with the Spring meetings of the National Society of Professional Surveyors in Arlington Virginia April 9th thru April 11th, 2019 at the Hilton Arlington in Arlington, VA. The teams complete the project and submit their Project Binder prior to the actual competition with their oral presentations and poster presentations scheduled for all day Wednesday April 10th. On Thursday April 11th there will be an evening reception with the awards presentation.

Associates Degree Division: Central New Mexico Community College; Dunwoody College of Technology; East Los Angeles College; Great Basin Community College; Northeast Wisconsin Technical College

Baccalaureate Degree Division: Cal State University – Fresno; Idaho State University; Kennesaw State University; Louisiana State University; New Jersey Institute of Technology; New Mexico State University; Nicholls State University; Penn State University; SUNY - Alfred State University; Oregon Institute of Technology; Texas A & M University – Corpus Christi; University of Akron
