NYSAPLS offers various membership options outlined below. Regular and Associate membership classes are contingent upon membership in affiliated regional associations (listed below) accepted by NYSAPLS, and combined dues are collected.

Classes of Membership
Regular Member	Registered land surveying in the State of New York.
Associate Member	Any person supportive of the surveying profession that is not a Professional Land Surveyor.
Student Member	A college or postgraduate student who is enrolled in a surveying program.
Corresponding Member	A Professional Land Surveyor not registered in New York State, or a Non-Licensed or a retired surveyor, residing outside New York State, interested in receiving regular mailings of the Empire State Surveyor and other pertinent correspondence authorized by the Board of Directors.
Sustaining Member	A firm that provides services to the land surveying profession.
